Catherine is the Assistant Manager at Mountain Yoga. Catherine explored yoga in high school at the local rec center, and then again in college at the University of Utah when she began taking classes each semester. She didn’t realize it then, but yoga was becoming an integral part of her stress management and self-reflection techniques. In 2015 she realized that going only 1-2 times a week was not enough for her, so she found Mountain Yoga and became hooked to the variety of classes.
Catherine remembers that when she started going to yoga she was neither strong nor flexible. She didn’t like exercising very much back then, so she knew she needed to find something that worked for her. Group fitness classes worked well because it meant that she could get a good workout within an hour and have someone else push her to her limits.
When not at the studio, you can find Catherine hiking, rock climbing, doing yoga outside, or in the kitchen cooking up something grain-free and tasty!
