Lauren Nelson

    Lauren is a graduate from the Tamal Dodge Yoga School (RYT 200) with continued education in functional anatomy (Revolution Yoga Anatomy), yoga philosophy, and meditation (Vipassana). She is a certified personal fitness trainer with years of work experience in nutrition and weight loss research in clinical trial studies (University of Colorado).

    Originally from Colorado, born into an adventurist family, Lauren has always been an athlete – a long-distance cyclist, avid runner, hiker, and yogi. Her passions lay in the mind-body connection, breath work, the holistic lifestyle, and the natural world. When she’s not teaching yoga, Lauren can be found tending to her organic urban garden, hiking with her dogs, writing about health, wellness, and spirituality, creating unique and healthy vegetarian recipes, or clearing her mind in meditation.

    Lauren incorporates the fundamentals of yoga in her class with a focus on the breath in order to energize, heal, and strengthen the body and concentrate the mind. It warms her heart to see her students excel in their practice. She advocates the maintenance of a diverse exercise regimen supported by restful practices and a balanced, nutrient-rich diet. Lauren seeks to educate and inspire everyone to lead a “whole-health” lifestyle.
