Jackie Wheeler sandy yoga teacher training instructor

Jackie Wheeler

Jackie Wheeler is the founder of Mountain Yoga Sandy located in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a lover of the outdoors and retreats to them as often as possible. She has been teaching yoga since 2000. Her classes are fused from many different lineages, consisting of empowering, playful sequencing of both classic static and flowing asanas. Her classes are taught with the intention of empowering and inspiring students to move both freely and intelligently and to find external and internal stability and stillness to take with them off the mat.

Brooke Schneider

Brooke found Yoga 15 years ago, a certified Vimana Yoga teacher skilled to teach four styles of Yoga and as a part of the Mountain Yoga Sandy team. She strives to build and enhance a strong knit community, sharing with compassion the art of yoga.  Brooke has great wisdom and understanding of asana, meditation, and mantra. She believes that Yoga is not only what is practiced on the mat, but how that practice and its energy can be harnessed in relation to self and beyond. The practice and teaching of yoga have been a healing force in her life, and it is because of that she has a desire to share the healing transformation with her students. Brooke teaches others to use their bodies as a vehicle for breath and the cultivation of peace to create a healthier life.

WHAT WE’VE HEARD

Last years Soulstice Retreat ignited a deep connection within ourselves, our community, and nature. Here is what last year’s attendees are saying…

MY SOUL WAS DEFINITELY IGNITED!

This retreat was amazing in so many ways. I met new friends that share a similar passion, and bonded with existing friends in a place I’d never been, but fell in love with INSTANTLY: Boulder Utah. The location was perfect – grounded in natural beauty and humming with the vibe of the retreat. The practices were scheduled well, energetic sessions in the morning and restorative at night. Meals and lodging were great, and you can’t beat the night sky, so many shooting stars!
-Beth

I FOUND MY BREATHE AND SPACE "TO BE STILL"

I found a new place on my mat, a variety of healthy foods to choose from for each meal, guided hikes or ones on my own on, time for self-discovery, great conversation around the fire at night, and lasting friendships. Looking forward to this summers retreat with great anticipation.

BEING PART OF A TRIBE

The retreat was a weekend filled with amazing women, support, laughter, self-exploration, and peacefulness. Being immersed in such tremendous beauty with amazing people was just what I needed to reset and recharge! I felt so much support and really got a sense of being part of a tribe which is something I miss in my normal busy life. We all need this!
