How to Make Time for Yoga

Sandy vinyasa yoga

In order to make time for anything in your life there has to be a sacrifice, hard work, and dedication. Making time is not easy but that’s also a benefit from it. If you are working towards a yoga practice the benefits will be there to help you along the way.

Here are a few tips to get you started:

  • Focus on starting small: Instead of looking at your schedule and saying to yourself I can only get in two yoga classes a week but my goal is five I can’t make time, be comfortable and proud of those two classes. Start small begin to build and eventually you’ll get to that five class a week goal.
  • Take a yoga lunch break: Having a lunch break yoga sesh will re-energize you for the rest of the day! If you are able to take a lunch break get a yoga class in and a quick meal right after.
  • Establish a nighttime routine: Having a nighttime routine will set you up for a great morning! Taking a bath, nighttime meditation, a good book before bed, zero phone time. Allowing yourself the time to unwind before bed will give you the energy you need in the morning to go to your early yoga class.
  • Wake up early: Sleeping in is so nice. It’s understandable that you want to stay under the covers but c’mon let’s go see what’s out there! The adrenalin of an early morning class beats the groggy over-slept feeling. It will set you up for a successful day right off the bat.

If you can’t make it into the studio, consider a virtual or on-demand class.  See our schedule here.

There are just as many reasons as there are excuses, you just have to decide which one is worth your time.
