Alison came to yoga due to a back injury. She was hoping yoga would help her recover quickly so that she could get “back to the gym and get after it” which was what she had always done. At first, yoga was grueling for Alison because it forced her to slow down and think about her breath to movement connection. As time went on, she grew to love yoga and what it brought to her life …. mindfulness, connection to her deeper self and a community of like minded people. Wanting to take her yoga journey to the “next level” she completed her 200hr. training in 2012 and has continued in her quest for knowledge through workshops, study and self reflection.
Alison is a lover of life, she loves to dance, listen to music, laugh out loud, read medium sized books, watch tv shows, hang out with her family and friends, pet each and every dog she encounters and is regularly in awe of the beauty of nature that surrounds us.
One of Alison’s favorite quotes is:
“Start where you are,
Use what you have,
Do what you can”
