Malari Bleyl

I was introduced to yoga back in 2016 and had dabbled in it here and there over the years. Having been a climber for most of my life, yoga and climbing went hand in hand.  Later in 2016, I found myself at a Bikram studio in Sandy that would later become my yoga home – Mountain Yoga Sandy. I have struggled with anxiety and stress and found that consistently practicing yoga was life-changing for my physical and mental space. My practice has helped me embrace and unlock new possibilities in body and mind, enabling me to grow and adapt to whatever challenges life throws my way.

Mountain Yoga Sandy has been my “yoga home” since 2019. First, I was a student; then I worked at the front desk for 4 years; and in 2023, I became a teacher and completed the teacher training offered at Mountain Yoga Sandy, earning my 200-hour R.Y.S Vimana Yoga certification. I have found not only a family at Mountain Yoga Sandy, but also a space that is truly a sanctuary not only for me but for so many others.

Having a deep love and connection with Hatha yoga, and the 26:2 sequence from the beginning of my yoga journey, I figured it would be pretty special to share my take on the practice with those who would join me (so cool that I made it happen!). I hope to help students connect with their physical bodies, breath, and mind, discover ways to disconnect from the world outside, and tune in to their meditative space while learning to find peace through breath. Yoga is truly a medicine that fills the soul and a gift that can be given to all. I can’t wait to share that with you on our mats!

Outside of the classroom, you can find me roaming the Earth somewhere with my two dogs, my hands in the soil of my houseplants, circuit training, playing with my sound bowls, or at one of our other gracious teachers’ classes here at MYS.
