My name is B’Andra Larsen, and I love working in this community which has supported me through some very difficult times.
I came to Mountain Yoga Sandy through curiosity for the yoga practice and invite from a friend, right on the cusp of the world shutting down.
For many years, I lived a structured life as an accounting professional, guided by numbers, deadlines, and responsibility which took all my bandwidth and free time. After the lockdown, life invited me to reflect on a different way to value myself. I chose to step away from my career to care for my family and to listen more deeply to my own health and inner needs.
In that quiet space, I found myself.
What began as a physical practice slowly became a path inward. Through breath, movement, and stillness, yoga helped me reconnect with myself, restore balance, and cultivate presence. It offered healing where words were not always enough and grounded me during a time of great change.
Today, I carry forward a deeper sense of awareness, gratitude, and purpose. I honor both my past professional journey and the inner transformation that yoga has nurtured, allowing me to move into this new chapter with clarity, compassion, and steady strength.
I LOVE live music! I enjoy going to concerts and events with my husband and get giddy when I am lucky enough to be included in any plans my children spearhead. I love going to amusement parks with my siblings and soaking in the exciting energy they emit while finding joy in reconnecting with the younger version of myself.
I live for long talks with interesting people and listening to them share their journey in life and what interests them. It is such a privilege to hold space for others and connect with their life experience in unexpected ways.
Once my kids are about their day, I like to slow down my mornings with a pressed cup of coffee and having a staring contest with my dogs before we take our walk and collect a grandfather stone or two.
